Unseen Path 2024
The tangled path, a thorny snare, I pushed and fought, beyond compare. Through grasping vines and hidden stone, Each scrape a lesson, sharply known. Uneven steps, a bruising climb, To capture beauty, frozen in time.
And then, a breath, a wider view, A clear-cut way, both smooth and new. The same reward, attained with ease, A gentle stroll among the trees. A mirror held to how I live, The struggles that I often give
Myself, when patience could unbind, The easier road I failed to find. For often, what we seek with might, Unveils itself in clearer light, If only we would pause and see, The simpler path, awaiting me.
Shattered Pieces of Me 2024
The world feels hushed, a muffled hum, Since your laughter, love, and life went numb. The compass spins, without your grace, Leaving me lost in this hollow space.
I search for signs, a whispered guide, In quiet corners where you used to hide. But all I find are echoes faint, Of lessons learned, like fading paint.
The path ahead, a shifting sand, Without the comfort of your hand. How do I grow, when the brightest light Has dimmed to memory's fading sight?
Yet, in this ache, a strength I find, A whisper of the love you left behind. I'll stumble, yes, and lose my way, But rise to meet each coming day, Carrying your spirit, brave and true, A part of me, forever you.
